About THOM BRAY

Thom Bray has been an actor, writer and producer over almost 40 years. He first had great success as an actor, guest starring in such TV classics as Lou Grant, One Day At A Time, Mancuso, F.B.I., Private Benjamin, Remington Steele, Murder She Wrote, and then as a series regular in NBC TV's top twenty hit, Riptide. In 1989, Thom made the transition to writing, scripting teleplays for classic comedies such as Designing Women and Evening Shade. Thom also wrote scripts for the half hour comedies Kirk, Fired-Up & The Crew and for one hour dramas such as Now & Again and Nash Bridges. In addition to his writing duties, Thom also served as a producer on many of the shows he worked on.

Thom continues to act professionally. Besides his annual performance in A Christmas Carol, Portland audiences will have most recently seen him in a critically acclaimed performance as James Wicker in Profile Theatre Project's production of It's Only A Play.

In 2005, Thom returned to school to finish his Master's degree in Teaching and now teaches Middle School Drama. He also teaches Television Studies at Portland State University and Marylhurst University.

Thom is the father of three wonderful and talented children, and shares his life with his extraordinary wife of over 20 years. He's a lucky man.
